Why a Cedar Chest?

Cedar Chests make a great storage area for keepsakes and bedding. You can sit or stand on them making them a great addition to any bedroom. Our styles are versatile so that no matter what your decorative choices or bedroom collection is, we can make a chest to match.

The legacy

For generations the Cedar Chest has been the definition of a family heirloom. Almost every family has an artisan who has built one in shop class or had one passed down to them. Chests were first used to bring all the precious belongings from home countries and generations later they made their way across the plains in covered wagons. We believe every family needs a Cedar Chest to pass down the family tree.

Craftsmanship

All our furniture is Solid Wood and made in America by Amish Craftsman. All Chests are available in Red Oak, Brown Maple, Hard Rock Maple, Cherry, Hickory, Quarter Sawn White Oak (QSWO), and Walnut. Inside each chest is a cedar lining that is unfinished to ensure you get that fresh cedar smell. We use catalyzed varnish for all finishing regardless of the stain. Amish Crafted Furniture does not use MDF or Particle Board. We strive to use only Solid Hardwood for all building materials.
